About Kinaara
Built for communities that matter
Our Story
Kinaara was born out of a simple observation: the organizations that hold communities together, diaspora associations, cultural groups, churches, and neighborhood councils, are running on spreadsheets, WhatsApp groups, and Venmo. Not because their leaders are unsophisticated, but because no one has built software that speaks their language.
We started with diaspora and cultural organizations because we know this world. The Liberian association that meets monthly in Charlotte. The Ghanaian union that collects annual dues from 200 families. The community group that organizes cultural festivals and needs a way to manage RSVPs, communicate with members, and collect contributions, all in one place. Kinaara is that place.
What does Kinaara mean?

Kinaara is an Arabic and Urdu word meaning shore, edge, or the bank of a river: the place where people gather, where community forms, where things begin. It felt right for a platform whose purpose is to give communities a home.

Community organizations handle sensitive member data and real money. We take that responsibility seriously. Your members' payments go directly to your organization. Kinaara never holds your funds.

We are building infrastructure for communities that have existed for generations and will continue long after any app. Reliability and data integrity are non-negotiable.
